Below is a list of regularly scheduled events. Click on the

CPR & First Aid Classes

Public Classes
These classes are offered in conjunction with the American
Heart Association and are on the first Saturday
of every month (except for holiday weekends). The times are 9:00 am - 1:00 pm for CPR and
2:00 - 5:00 pm for First Aid. These classes are $5 each for
district residents and $20 each for non-district residents. Participants
must make payment at our Administration Center in order to
register for these classes.
Board Meetings
- Fire Board Meetings
Meetings are open to public and are generally held on the
second Friday of each month at 9:00 AM, in the training
classroom next to Station 401, located at 5030 S. Camino Verde.
- Pension Board Meetings
The board meets annually
in December and at other times during the year as needed to review
applications for retirement or DROP. The meetings are open to
the public and meeting times, location and agendas are posted at
least 24 hours in advance.
Public Education

Senior Citizen Fire Academy
DHFD will be offering a program for
residents 55 and older in our community. The Senior Citizen Fire
Academy includes specialized safety training plus a closer look at
the local fire department and the services it provides. Program
participants will obtain not only important information they will
also receive free safety resources for their home. (more

DHFD Community Safety Fair
You're invited to attend! DHFD will be hosting it's annual
safety fair in partnership with Local 3504, safe Kids Tucson and
NFPA Safe Communities. (flyer)

Babysitting Classes
The program includes classes like First Aid, CPR, childcare,
fire safety, poison prevention, kitchen safety and resume
building. Must be 12 years. (flyer)
